Wow... I've never written a bad review till now. Severely understaffed. Food took forever, and was lackluster at best. Service was absolutely appalling, I actually watched a server tell a table to eat somewhere else and that it would take 15 minutes to get their waters to them when they sat down. Danny the bartender was the only one trying and thank god they had Bulleit Bourbon... I've been to other Champions at Marriots in other cities and had no issues, nothing to write home about but friendly and tasty. Not this one. I will eat at the bar or buffet the rest of my stay.

Service was slow on a night when maybe 8 tables were full. Food was very salty and average at best. Had the signature flat bread crab pizza. Flat bread had been frozen and was tough. I wouldn't go back.

Sports bar attached to the Marriott in Baltimore. It's mediocre place, good to see a game with the public. These chain bars are just that..........

This is worst place to be served as a customer. We are sitting here watching 4 personnel run this place. They are not good they can not get even drink orders right waited 30 min just to get a drink order in 45 mins for food so far we still don't have it.

We walked in on a Saturday night to get dinner and watch some football. The place was empty and they have tons of TVs. When we asked if they could turn the channel the staff acted as if we were asking alot of them. We got up and left before we even got our drinks. Staff needs some more training on service especially considering there is a Chili's right down the road.

Reasonable food, great price points & medium service. 3.75 for a cold pint of Fat Tire? Yes please. I had the Old Bay wings and Nachos (which were plentiful). 12 wings and 3 beers cost me less than 17bucks. This place boast plenty of televisions for the avid sports fan. One thing i would suggest, increase dining room floor staff on game days. Seemed our waitress was a bit overwhelmed.

Decent grub and booze. I wouldn't break my neck to get here, unless I had a hankering for a fried Twinkie (getting them fried makes me forget how much Twinkies SUCK now) with strawberry and chocolate dipping sauces or catfish po'boy with fries. The hours of operation are kinda weird and vary, depending on the time of year. I think I'd like this place more, if they were open during lunchtime. That, alone, is what's probably keeping me from giving it just one more extra '*'.

Good food, had the burger. Slow service...took 20+ minutes to get my food. If Wendy's served alcohol this place would go out of business. I also waited 10+ minutes after eating to pay for my meal.

I am here in the area for work and decided to head down to champions. It was a slow Tuesday night. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was seat yourself. I sat down and the waiter in very hard to understand English, greeted me. It was clear that he did not like to be in the service business that night. The menu was easy and straightforward to read. I ordered a non-alcoholic beverage and nachos. The lemonade rated grainy or more like crystal light and the nachos were pretty good, I added chicken and sauces came on the side so I could pick and choose. The waiter never checked on me, refilled my beverage or asked how things were. I also had to finally get up and walk to the bar to pay and saw him standing in the corner talking to a female employee. I paid and left. This would be an avg three star but the poor service and having to seek out payment at the end downgraded my experience.

Worst service ever. Bottom 3 restaurants I have ever been in. Food below average. 35 min wait for a beer. 4 servers on 20 people in restaurant, ever table dirty. Unbelievable.

Decent food and drinks for a hotel bar. There's a fairly large selection of drafts available. I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the other reviews. The food and drinks are a little on the pricey side, but that's to be expected of a bar in the Marriott. Plenty of screens to watch the football games.
(3)Michael V.
Veryyyyy slowwww service for hardly anyone even in there.. It's Saturday night and literally like 10-15 people in here and still waiting 15mins for a draft beer. Only came for a beer and waited long enough to work up an appetite so I ordered some wings.. Which were wayyyyy over cooked (explains why it took so long) Completely dried up and tough, little sauce, less than mild. Not good. Stand up, wave your arms, yell, do anything you can to get some attention or you will just sit there hungry and thirsty. Ohh and bring your checkbook cause it's way PRICEY!!

The good news: there was no wait for a table because the place was empty. There are a lot of TVs for sports but no sound even if a playoff hockey game is on. Instead they play awful 90s music. The bad news: the waitress was rude and I planned on complaining to the management, but the guy who brought us are drinks was also incapable of being polite. So, I figure it is systemic to the establishment. Don't bother to ask for a recommendation on the menu because the staff has no idea what is good. I had a chicken steak and cheese that was very good but the fries were soggy. If you are just looking for beers and an appetizer this might be ok if you're too tired to walk up he hill to Chilis.
(2)Brandon K.
Service is pretty bad, really bad. It's one thing to be ignored, but attitude on top of being ignored, it's too much. Food is over priced for the lacking of quality. Plenty of TVs to watch while you wait for service. And wait, and wait you shall
(2)Scott H.
Food was fine. Sat at the bar and the service was poor. Not sure anyone really knows what they are doing.
(1)Ryan B.
Plenty of space. The waitstaff was complaining about how crazy Friday night was (10 people here at the time). The do have drafts available (sam Adams, coors, bud, an IPA and s Adams seasonal). Drafts are $5.50 I didn't eat, but feels like a dive bar atmosphere.
(3)Bryan M.
Pretty ri5n down sports bar for being at a full service marriot.. I would have expected something a little nicer... typical bar food expensive drinks that are rather weak.. but really the only place around to grab something quick to eat thats not a chain where u can walk to
(3)Colleen N.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT EAT HERE. My fiance and I ate here late one night after picking him up from the airport. Not only did we experience a long wait, but I ended up with FOOD POISONING from an uncooked chicken wrap! Both the hotel and Marriott Corporate (after I filed a claim) did absolutely NOTHING to fix this situation. I was essentially told that since no one else got sick, they could do nothing for me. Marriott Hotels and Champions will never, EVER have my business.

Arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday night. Took a few seconds to realize it was seat yourself. Took 15 minutes for someone to come take a drink order, a ridiculous amount of time for my turkey burger to come out and it had cheese on it, which i sand it took almost 10 minutes for the waiter to come back for me to tell him it was wrong. Now it's going to be another 10-15 minutes to get another one. Ridiculous. Once the turkey burger came out it had no flavor. I would definitely not eat here again.
(1)Michael H.
There is no host/hostess. Its sear yourself. The marriott burger is amazing. Defidnetly a plUs, and if your visiting from outside of maryland. Their crab soup is to die for, along with their crab cake entree. Pure crab, no fillers. Its in the hotels menu, just ask your server for the Chesapeke menu as well.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! If I could give less stars I would. We came here after a wedding for a night cap with about 20 people at 12:00 on a Saturday. I called two days prior to let them know we had a large group coming to the bar late. The person on the phone was rude so I should have known better. I waited at the bar for 20 minutes only to be told that there were "like 100 people" ahead of me and I would be served for a while. I understand there was only one bartender but we told them well in advance to be prepared. I will not give this bar any of my money and will urge people to do the same.

I was a guest at the hotel and wanted a quick easy dinner. I was apprehensive based on other reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a slow week night, but there were 5 servers on the floor. I was greeted immediately and had a drink within 5 minutes of entering the place. My food was fast, hot, and pretty good. The place grew more crowded as the night progressed though the level of service did not waiver. I would definitely eat here. Of note- there are a TON of TVs all over this place- I can imagine it would be great to watch a big game here.
(4)John F.
Decent place by BWI - the best in the area I found. Drinks are on the expensive side and food is ok - the staff here is very good though which is why I rated it higher. I had the wings here and they are ok, salads are good here as well.

Stopped in here for a couple of drinks on Tues Eve before retiring to the hotel down the street. The biggest issue was the signage in the lobby. Couldn't figure out quite where this place was! After asking the front desk, we were welcomed by our bartender. This gal served drinks and food with a smile. Having just come from Ruby Tuesday's, where your service depended on whether the bartender perceived you as woman bait, our bartender was a breath of fresh air. No attitude, just a professionalism seldom seen. Drinks were great, not that expensive and I never had to worry about anything. Recommended.

Horrible service on a Thursday night...would never go back. Our "waitress" would refuse to make eye contact, waited over 45 minutes before getting the attention of another waiter...manager was behind the bar working, not ideal. Not enough staff. I go out all the time and it was never worse than this!
(1)Jeff B.
Not bad for a hotel bar. Decent food and beers. Pretty much a run of the mill place. Staff is ok.

No HD televisions for football. Drinks are very week. Food takes FOREVER to be served and hoenstly didn't taste that great.

I'm a Saints fan who was stuck at a hotel in Linthicum Heights, Maryland while my team was playing on Monday Night Football. To compound my problems, the satellite TV at my hotel kept cutting out on ESPN, so I had to find a place to watch the game. Right next to my hotel was Champions, and they saved the day. My wife and I walked in around 8:00 to find the tables about 75% empty and the bar half-full. We grabbed a couple of seats and were pleased to find that they had those neat tuners where you choose which audio feed you hear. There were 3 or 4 TVs at the bar and about the same number scattered throughout the floor, so it was nice to not get stuck with one game's sound. Even nicer was that once it was clear that everyone at the bar was watching MNF, the bartender put the game on all of the TVs. I had read online that their beers here were all in the $5-6 range, so I figured I'd try to find something nice if I was going to be paying so much for it anyway. In addition to the standard Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, they also had Guinness, Sam Adams Lager, Sam Winter, Yuengling, and Heavy Seas- Small Craft Warning on tap. Heavy Seas was the only beer I hadn't had before, so I went for it. Nice beer that is similar in taste to Sam Adams, but with fewer hops. They also had a good selection of maybe 15 bottled beers, but it was more a selection of Corona, Dos Equis, Heineken, etc... than anything unusual. My wife wasn't feeling well, so she just asked for some orange juice. I've been to plenty of bars where people who aren't drinking alcohol get worse service than those who are drinking, but this wasn't the case here. The bartender kept the OJ and water coming, and in the end, the only charge was $3 for one glass of OJ. On top of that, my beers ended up being $3 or $3.50 per draught, so I was happy about that. At halftime, we ordered some wings and they were fine. They offered Old Bay or Buffalo style. Old Bay sounded interesting, but I didn't want to risk it, and no food could possibly go better with beer than Buffalo wings. The wings weren't the meatiest, highest quality bits of bird I'd ever had, but completely passable for bar food. Being stuck in the middle of Maryland was not the best time of my life, but Champions was a bright spot. While our hotel only offered $2 bottles of water and $40 steaks, we were able to eat and drink at Champions for three hours and our total tab was under $45. Good deal.

Champions is a typical sports bar that is part of the Marriott. The food is your typical bar food with little variety or options. During my visit the waiter would not allow us to make substitutions to our order. Service was rather slow and some of the orders came out wrong. Overall I would avoid going here and go up the hill to Chili's. Unless you have no where else to go and like chilling in a hotel sports bar for more apparent reason...

Looks like a nice place, went in for one drink and would have stayed for a few more but was beat. Huge TV's and soundboxes to listen to what game you're watching. Bar looked pretty well stocked, went on a Sat. early afternoon, so wondering what Sat. night would be like. Would give it another shot, bartender on duty was polite and helpful.
(3)Jeff E.
Fast, friendly service. Good food. Fair prices.
(4)Don V.
Had the French onion soup for 8 dollars thinking it must be awesome at that price. I was wrong I make a lot better French onion From a can of Campbell soup. Really. What a waste of 8 dollars.
(2)Brian P.
10 beers on tap. Typical sports pub menu. I wish the numerous TV's were larger. Seriously, get bigger screens. Local IPA on tap.
(2)Austin A.
Eh, it's a sports bar in an airport hotel, and about what you'd expect: acceptable but overpriced. Service was slow (during the lunch hour, but not due to any massive number of customers) and we barely got out of there in an hour--it took a while for the food. I wasn't blown away by their selection of TVs or sports. I wouldn't go again, but I wouldn't tell people to avoid it.
(2)Ralph L.
Was staying at the BWI Marriott for a few days and hit this place while it was empty, so service was fast and courteous. The phlly cheese steak was a little bland and my girlfriend had the grilled chicken bacon wrap, she says it was fine. Over all the sports theme did nothing for me. Ok place if your hungry and looking for a quick meal to eat. Price was moderate as well.
(3)Lou H.
Passable for a hotel bar, but far below what I expected attached to a Mariott. OK, it was kinda cool that you could have the waitstaff tune the TV near you to whatever and they brought you a wireless speaker like the old-time drive-ins.
(2)Jennifer H.
Good for Happy Hour beers, beer towers and wings. Bad for atmosphere, wait staff and everything else. I only come because my afterwork happy hours are normally here. Other than that, I wouldn't come here to pay regular price for anything.

Straight up, my review is not indicative of the norm. I have no idea what Champions is like on a day to day basis, and I also don't know much about their food. We had a very specific experience with them, and we were really, really happy with it! The night before our wedding in lieu of a rehearsal dinner we had a cocktail party revolving around a particular football game (Alabama). My mother in law planned everything from start to finish, but they were VERY accommodating. They let us bring in our own decorations, balloons and cake, and roped off an entire section of the restaurant for us. They had a portable bar with beer and wine for our guests, and set up a little buffet. The mini crab cakes were delicious, and I heard good things about the sliders. The space is large and clean, and there are a LOT of TV's, including one really huge one which was beyond perfect for an event revolving around a football game. Champions was perfect for the type of event we were planning, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar sports themed dinner or event with around 100 or so people.

Bleh!! My husband and I came here for drinks and a little something to nosh on before I had to go to a wedding rehearsal, and I was certainly not impressed. We ordered the crab dip, which for some reason came with pita chips AND Mexican tortilla chips (the white, red and green kind). The crab dip was utterly disgusting. It was literally like someone mixed mayo and cream cheese together, put it in a bowl, and served it to us. It was really gross and had basically no crab in it at all. The drinks that we ordered were pretty weak and small. Given that I was paying $12 for a Patron and pineapple, I'd expect it to actually be more than a few sips. I think the only reason people would frequent this place is because it's in the Marriott and to eat somewhere else, you'd have to drive.
